On October 8, 2024, a meeting was held between the rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov and the rector of the Vitebsk Order of the Badge of Honor State Academy of Veterinary Medicine Olga Gorlova.

During the meeting a cooperation agreement was signed between VSMU and VSAVM.

One of the priority tasks for our university in 2024, which is the Year of Quality in our country, and in the following years, is to work to maintain and improve the quality of education, which is impossible without improving the quality of leisure and the level of comfort for the students and university staff. Therefore, one of the gifts for the 90th anniversary of VSMU was a brand new bus.

On October 3, 2024, VSMU hosted a reception for a distinguished guest – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sajjad Haider Khan, who visited the university for the first time. He was welcomed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits and the Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations Elena Sharykhina.

On October 2, 2024, VSMU held an open dialogue of first-year students with BRYU leaders, “The Union of Youth is a Great Start for Your Development,” as part of the Republican project “First-Year Student Headquarters.”

The event’s speakers were Zhanna Naritsyna, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of BRYU, Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work at VSMU, and Natalya Gaponko, Secretary of the BRYU Public Organization at VSMU.
