On October 2, 2024, a ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between VSMU and Gymnasium No. 1 named after Zh. I. Alferov, as well as the opening of a specialized class with a medical focus, took place at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The document was signed by VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov and Gymnasium No. 1 named after Zh. I. Alferov Director Larisa Levkovich.

The subject of the agreement is cooperation between the university and the gymnasium to achieve common goals of improving the quality of education, implementing interaction, exchanging experiences, organizing career guidance work with gymnasium students, and holding joint scientific and educational events. Currently, VSMU has prepared and concluded cooperation agreements with general secondary educational institutions in the cities of Vitebsk, Mogilev, Orsha, Mozyr, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, Gorodok, Chausy, Postavy, etc.
