On March 26, 2025, the faculty of pre-university training of VSMU under the cooperation agreement organized a vocational guidance meeting for pupils of the 10-11 profile classes of the State Educational Establishment “Lyceum of Novopolotsk” and the State Educational Establishment “Gymnasium №1 of Novopolotsk”.

 During the event the dean of FPT Elena Gusakova and the deputy dean of FPT Lyubov Orekhova familiarized the children with the history and structure of the university, as well as told about the peculiarities of the admission campaign of VSMU in 2025, including admission on the terms of targeted training.

On March 25, 2025, the Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov took part in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of Belarus in the Palace of Independence.

Today our country is entering a new era. Taking the oath of office by the Head of State is a landmark moment that determines the vector of Belarus' development for years to come. We are witnessing history, and each of us realizes the significance of this event.

A special atmosphere reigned at Vitebsk State Medical University: the students, professors and staff gathered in Auditorium No. 3 of the laboratory-theoretical building and the conference hall of the main academic building to watch together the historic moment - the inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko.

The employees and students of VSMU joined the action “Children of Belarus - to veterans and future generations” within the framework of the project “Living memory of grateful generations”, having collected commemorative coins, which will be sent to Moscow and will become a part of the monument in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
