March 26, 2025, the representatives of the Trade Union of Health Care Workers of the Pskov Region headed by the Chairman Angelika Shunder visited Vitebsk to strengthen cooperation.

During the visit the delegation got acquainted with the best practices in the sphere of protection of labor rights and socio-economic interests of medical workers, as well as studied approaches to work with youth and attraction of young specialists to the industry.

A significant point of the program was a visit to Vitebsk State Medical University.

The Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations of VSMU Elena Sharykhina and the chairman of the trade union committee of the employees Alexander Myasoedov gave the guests a tour around the university. The guests got acquainted with the system of medical training, modern material and technical base, and also visited the Clinic of VSMU, where the head physician Natalia Alekhna told about the work of specialized departments and provided medical services.

Then a round table dialog was held to discuss social guarantees, legal protection of medical workers and other important topics.
