On October 23, 2024, the regular meeting of the University Council was held, at which an analysis of academic performance, class attendance and student expulsion based on the results of the summer session of the 2023/2024 academic year was presented, the results of the work were considered and the prospects for the development of the simulation and certification center were determined, the new composition of the University Council was approved, and the candidacies of employees for awarding the commemorative medal "For Merits in the Development of VSMU" and assigning the honorary title "Veteran of Labor of VSMU" were presented.

On October 23, 2024, as part of a series of open lectures dedicated to the 90th anniversary of VSMU, a lecture was given by the Dean of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining in Pedagogy and Psychology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I.V. Gorodetskaya on the topic "Humoral regulation of physiological functions".

The importance of the endocrine system for the vital activity of the human body, the concept of endocrine function, and methods for assessing its condition are considered.

On October 23, 2024, a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held at VSMU, at which the following were recommended: a research project for participation in the competition of tasks of the State Program for Scientific Research, a monograph for publication, instructions for use for submission to the expert commission of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

A change in the name, the introduction of a specialty and the appointment of a second scientific supervisor for the dissertation work of the applicant were approved.

As part of the week of open lectures dedicated to the 90th anniversary of VSMU, on October 22, 2024, a lecture was given by the Rector, doctor of medical sciences, chief specialist in ultrasound diagnostics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, member of the expert council on health care of the executive committee of the interparliamentary assembly of the CIS countries, Alexey Nikolaevich Chukanov, on the topic "Modern possibilities of ultrasound diagnostics" to the 6th-year students of the medical faculty and university teachers.

VSMU staff members - the Professor Ishchenko O.V., the Associate Professor Alyakhnovich N.S. took an active part in the work of the First Interregional Congress on Allergology and Immunology with international participation on October 10-11, 2024 in Moscow, Russian Federation.

The eventful congress program included 2 plenary sessions, a key lecture by the Professor F.Yu. Garib, more than 6 symposia, sections on the specialty of clinical immunology and allergology, a discussion club "When an allergist is the first specialist", a school "News of molecular allergodiagnostics".
