On December 21, 2023, in preparation for the single voting day, VSMU held a dialogue platform with the 1st year students of the pediatric faculty “Electoral system of the Republic of Belarus. Single voting day." The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Educational Work Olga Fedchuk and the Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Faculty of Pediatrics Elena Batalkina took part in the dialogue platform.

On December 20, 2023, the regional New Year's ball brought together the best representatives of students in the hall of the «Severnaya Stolitsa» restaurant.

The evening was held in a “crystal” style and 12 VSMU students took part in it.

Ilya Nogach, a 5th year student of the Faculty of Pharmacy at VSMU, was awarded a Letter of Gratitude from the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, for his active participation in organizing and conducting socially significant events, excellent studies and fruitful scientific activity.

On December 20, 2023, the teachers of the Department of Pathological Physiology, with the support of the primary organization of the Belarusian Women's Union, held a competition of hand-made New Year's toys. The event was attended by the curators of the department of pathological physiology, normal physiology, medical biology and general genetics, general and clinical biochemistry, Russian language FOST and their supervised groups, as well as the employees of the dean’s office of the pediatric faculty. All authors of the works received New Year's souvenirs from Father Frost and Snow Maiden.

On December 19, 2023, a meeting of the University Council was held, in which the head of the Main Health Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Mikhail Vishnevetsky, took part.

The Council reviewed the results of a survey of teachers and students on the topic “On the implementation of coursework and diploma theses, master’s theses”, an analysis of the effectiveness of students’ internships, a report on the activities of the military department; the results of work with appeals from citizens and legal entities in 2023 were summed up, as well as the results of work and implementation of decisions of the University Council. It was decided to award university employees the honorary title “Veteran of Labor of VSMU” and award them .

At the meeting of the Council, Natalya Konevalova, Tatyana Ryabova, Denis Afanasyev were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Main Health Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The regional committee of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers expressed gratitude to Elena Asiryan. Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Angelina Kuzmenkova, Maya Bobkova were awarded the VSMU Certificate of Honor; the “Veteran of Labor of VSMU” badge was awarded to Alina Shchupakova, Natalya Boltrushevich, Oleg Vasiliev, Alexander Budritsky, Vladimir Kozlovsky, Valery Semenov, Tatyana Dmitrachenko, Alla Grizhevskaya, Natalya Dubina, Eleonora Yakusheva.
