On October 2, 2024, VSMU held an open dialogue of first-year students with BRYU leaders, “The Union of Youth is a Great Start for Your Development,” as part of the Republican project “First-Year Student Headquarters.”

The event’s speakers were Zhanna Naritsyna, First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of BRYU, Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work at VSMU, and Natalya Gaponko, Secretary of the BRYU Public Organization at VSMU.

On October 2, 2024, a ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between VSMU and Gymnasium No. 1 named after Zh. I. Alferov, as well as the opening of a specialized class with a medical focus, took place at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The document was signed by VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov and Gymnasium No. 1 named after Zh. I. Alferov Director Larisa Levkovich.

Meetings of first-year foreign students with the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work of VSMU - Denis Lits, the Dean of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training - Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin and the staff of the dean's office continue.

Denis Nikolaevich welcomed the foreign citizens who arrived to study at VSMU and wished them successful acquisition of knowledge and professional skills.

On September 26-27, 2024, the II Republican Scientific and Methodological Conference "Military Medicine. History and Modernity" was held at Vitebsk State Medical University.

On September 27, 2024, within World Tourism Day, VSMU students, under the guidance of the sports club staff, went on a two-day hiking trip along the route VSMU - Lake Streshno (Sennensky District) - VSMU, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 90th anniversary of their native university.

But before setting off, the tourists tidied up the area around the monument to the Heroes of the Vitebsk Underground on Smolenskaya Square.
