8 teams took part in badminton competitions in the program of the Spartakiad among the teams of dormitories of institutions of secondary specialized and higher education in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk.

The VSMU team consisting of Palihena Yeshani Udayana (5th year, Faculty of Overseas Students Training) and Minura Wijesena Ransika (4th year, Faculty of Overseas Students Training), took 1st place (coach – Getmonov Artyom Vladimirovich).

Brainstorming game with international and Belarusian students

As part of the festival “Student Spring of VSMU – 2022” there was a brain ring called “We Are Ready and Set to Go!” which was held at the university on April 25, 2022. Belarusian and international students of the General Medicine, Stomatological, and Pharmaceutical Faculties of first-fifth years took part in it. The event was held in both Russian and English languages. Questions of various subjects were prepared for the teams. Brain ring consisted of 3 rounds.

The winner of the event was the “Brawlers” team, the second place went to the “Launde Baaz” team.

Exhibition of Indian medical students at Vitebsk State University

indiya vistavka 01An exhibition of paintings of Sushan Bhatt and Geetansh Sharma from India, who are studying at the Faculty of Overseas Students Training of VSMU, was held at the premises of Artistic-Graphic faculty of P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University on Tuesday, the 19th of April. This exhibition combined two of the students' solo exhibitions: "The Beautiful World of India" and "A Portrait of Reflection".

«HOLI» – FESTIVAL OF COLOURS

On 17th of April 2022, the Indian Medical Students Union organised the celebration of the famous Indian festival “HOLI” outside the student hostel N1.

Holi is a popular Hindu festival also known as the Festival of Colors or the Festival of Love.

The festival celebrates the eternal and divine love of Radha Krishna. It also signifies the triumph of good over evil as it celebrates the victory of Lord Vishnu.
