Academic Olympics “Step into the profession “Pharmacy”

On 23 and 24 March 2022, an interdisciplinary intra-university academic Olympics “Step into the profession “Pharmacy” was held. It is held annually in order to identify talented, active and creative students, to improve the theoretical and practical training of future specialists, to motivate students for professional, social and personal competencies, to stimulate educational, cognitive, scientific and practical activities of students.

“Indian Fresher's Night-2022”

On 26th of match 2022, the Indian Medical Student Union organised “Fresher's Night-2022”. The event was full of wonderful performers and talented students who showcased their talents in front of a very vibrant crowd. 

The Chief guest of the event was Maria Alekseevna Senkovich, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Overseas Students Training.

«Sri Lankan Night- 2022»

The annual “Sri Lankan Night”, the most anticipated event of the Sri Lankan students in VSMU was held on Sunday, the 27th of March, at the resort “Verasy” located a few kilometers away from the city.

With the participation of around 500 students from Sri Lanka, Maldives and some from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, I must admit that it was one of the most amazing and glamorous gala events I’ve witnessed.

Studying Pediatrics by the 4th-year Students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty

At the Pediatric Faculty, students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty are studying Pediatrics in the 4th year. In the spring semester, classes are devoted to childhood diseases.

On March 23, students of the 50th group visited a specialized orphanage, where one of the clinical bases of the Pediatric Faculty is located. During the lesson, the students got acquainted with the peculiarities of the work of the orphanage, visited groups of children of different ages, talked to the kids, who were glad to meet the guests.

Dean of the Pediatric Faculty E.G. Asiryan together with the Head of the Chair of Pediatrics No.1 E.G. Kosenkova taught students the peculiarities of caring for children of different ages, for babies who have different developmental characteristics, introduced them to the methods of rehabilitation of children with central nervous system diseases.

During the lesson, students received not only new knowledge, but also understood what qualities a future pediatrician should have, how important it is to be able to sympathize with little patients, to be able to take care of them, to give them warmth and love.
