On behalf of the administration of VSMU, we congratulate the following students who received the discount on the payment of tuition fee in the 2022-2023 academic year for their excellent studies, active participation in research work, and public life of the university:

«Fresher’s Night» organised by Exorians (batch of 2027) to welcome Troizians (batch of 2028) into the VSMU family was held on 26^th of November 2022 at the Concert Hall, Palace of the Raliway Workers. 

VSMU students being members of the student scientific circle of the Chair of General, Physical and Colloidal Chemistry, Ibezim Praise Odiwonma and Eneh Favour Chigozirim, took part in the 5th International Student Environmental Congress StEC-2022, which was held on November 25-26, 2022. The congress was organized by the Faculty of Chemistry, the Research Institute for Physical Chemical Problems of the Belarusian State University and the team of the student project “Shadow Day BSU”.

On November 26, on Channel ONT there was the fourth qualifying concert-show of talents from Vitebsk region called “Star Way”. From several dozen applicants, the producers chose the best non-professional vocalists, and only 5 participants from the region demonstrated their vocal abilities on TV. On Saturday evening, many residents of Orsha and Vitebsk were watching with a sinking heart a bright performance of the creative duo of Marina Shitkova, the otorhinolaryngologist of the Central Clinic in Orsha and Devin Randeniya, a 5th-year student of Vitebsk State Medical University.

The annual basketball tournament organized by the Sri Lankan students’ Union of VSMU was recently held, at the Vitebsk sports complex in Ludnikova Avenue. 

This year six boys teams and six girls teams participated in the competition representing their batches. Whilst being highly competitive, the tournament was played in the spirit of great sportsmanship.
