On October 18, 2023, a meeting of the University Council was held at VSMU, which adressed the issues of staffing the educational process, the results of analysis of academic performance, attendance and expulsion of students for the 2022/2023 academic year, analysis of the effectiveness of internships;  a report on the implementation of fire safety measures was presented, as well as the information on the prevention of crimes against citizens using the Internet and mobile communications when making financial transactions; also the application to the city and regional administration to perpetuate the memory of I.I. Bogdanovich and L.I. Bogdanovich was discussed.

At the meeting of the Council the head of the department of clinical microbiology Igor Generalov, the dean of the faculty of training of foreign citizens Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin, and the head of the research department Lyudmila Tikhonova were awarded the Certificate of Honor of VSMU. Associate professor certificates were awarded to Gennady Adamenko, Leonid Bolshakov, Maxim Kuntsevich, Elena Minina.
