On October 17, 2023, a meeting was held between the rector of the university Alexey Nikolaevich Chukanov and the vice-rector for international relations and organizational and legal work Denis Nikolaevich Lits with representatives of Samarkand State Medical University (SAMMU), at which the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between SAMMU and VSMU was discussed.

As part of the academic mobility program, from October 16 to 19, 2023, a visit to VSMU will be held by the teachers of SAMMU: the head of the department of microbiology, virology and immunology of SAMMU Mashrab Ismatillovich Yusupov and senior lecturer of the department of microbiology, virology and immunology of SAMMU Shaykulov Hamza Shodievich.

During the visit it is planned to give lectures for VSMU students by the representatives of SAMMU and familiarize themselves with the work of the Department of Clinical Microbiology of VSMU.
