Within the framework of events dedicated to the anniversary of the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining of VSMU, academic mobility and the ongoing work to increase interdisciplinary interaction in the additional education of adults on the basis of the University on April 11, 2025, in a hybrid format held a national scientific-practical conference with international participation “Topical issues in the treatment of pain syndrome in medicine and sports. Prevention of sports traumatism”. The conference was organized by the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with the course of FAT and PR of VSMU and Vitebsk Regional Dispensary of Sports Medicine.

On April 12, 2025, in Vitebsk State Medical University within the framework of the Republican Saturday cleanup a large-scale work on the improvement of the territory adjacent to the University and student dormitories was held. The subbotnik became a part of numerous events of the Year of Improvement, aimed at creating a comfortable environment in every corner of our country.

On April 11, 2025, a significant meeting aimed at development of international cooperation took place in VSMU. The First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova held talks with Prof. Leila Akhmadeeva – the doctor of the highest qualification category, Master of Clinical Psychology of Bashkir State Medical University. The guest was also welcomed by Professor Tatiana Olenskaya, the Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with a course of FAT and PR, and Anna Pchelintseva, the Head of the International Relations Department.

On April 10, 2025, the faculty of pre-university training of VSMU conducted a career guidance excursion to the anatomical museum of VSMU for the students of the State Educational Establishment “Vitebsk State College of Light Industry and Technologies”, during which the children got acquainted with the museum exhibits, as well as anatomical features of the human body structure.

On April 11, 2025, in the Educational Center of Life Safety of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus the solemn awarding of the winners of the open competition “Formation of life safety culture in achieving the goals of sustainable development” took place.

The 2nd year students of the pediatric faculty of VSMU Yan Afanasiev and Victoria Lakovich became the winners of the contest.
