Within the framework of events dedicated to the anniversary of the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining of VSMU, academic mobility and the ongoing work to increase interdisciplinary interaction in the additional education of adults on the basis of the University on April 11, 2025, in a hybrid format held a national scientific-practical conference with international participation “Topical issues in the treatment of pain syndrome in medicine and sports. Prevention of sports traumatism”. The conference was organized by the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with the course of FAT and PR of VSMU and Vitebsk Regional Dispensary of Sports Medicine.

Elena Asiryan, the Vice-rector for scientific work, Irina Derkach, the Head doctor of VSMU, Tatyana Dmitrachenko, the Dean of the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining, and Tatyana Olenskaya, the Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with a course of FAT and PR addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

Natalia Gorshkova – the Head of the Department of Sports Medicine of “VRDSM”, Leila Akhmadeeva – the Professor of the Department of Neurology of Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia (Ufa), Natalia Alekseeva – the Deputy Head of the Medical Department of the State Institution “Lepel Military Sanatorium of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus”, the Doctor of acupuncture, Dmitry Britvin – the Head of the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation of the State Institution “Vitebsk City Clinical Hospital №1”, Alla Nikolaeva – the Head of the department of hypobaric adaptation of the State Institution “VССH №1”, Olga Golyuchenko – the Associate Professor of the Department of Evidence-Based Medicine and Clinical Diagnostics, Natalia Usova – the Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery with the courses of medical rehabilitation, psychiatry and FAT&PR of EE “Gomel State Medical University”, Tatyana Denisenko – the Head of the Department of Restorative Treatment of “VODSM”.

In the second part of the conference, practical master classes on the application of carboxytherapy and kinesiology taping in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with pain syndrome were held on the basis of UZ “VRDSM”.

The conference participants noted the high level of professionalism of the speakers and practical orientation of the master classes.
