On April 12, 2025, in Vitebsk State Medical University within the framework of the Republican Saturday cleanup a large-scale work on the improvement of the territory adjacent to the University and student dormitories was held. The subbotnik became a part of numerous events of the Year of Improvement, aimed at creating a comfortable environment in every corner of our country.

A lot of work was done: the participants removed garbage and dry leaves, painted curbs and benches. Sports grounds, lawns and pedestrian paths were also tidied up.

The Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov: “Subbotnik is not only an opportunity to make the territory of the university cleaner and cozier, but also an important contribution to the implementation of the tasks of the Year of improvement. We see how the students, faculty and staff united in a common cause, showing a real example of collective responsibility and love for their country. Such initiatives help not only to transform the space around us, but also to educate a careful attitude to nature. Thank you to everyone who contributed!”
