On April 11, 2025, the IV Republican contest of startup projects in the field of healthcare of the Republic of Belarus “MedicalStartup” ended.

The winner at the final stage of the competition was the joint project of VSMU and VSU named after  P.M. Masherov “Application for computer diagnostics of brain diseases on the basis of artificial intelligence based on medical visualization data”.

On April 14, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University held a meeting of the labor collective to discuss the Directive № 12 of April 9, 2025, “On the implementation of the foundations of the ideology of the Belarusian state”.

The gathered unanimously supported the provisions of the directive, emphasizing its timeliness and importance for the further development of the Belarusian society. Special attention was paid to the fact that the document not only summarizes the accumulated experience of ideological work, but also creates a solid legal basis for its improvement taking into account modern challenges and trends.

On April 11, 2025, the 4th year students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty of VSMU under the guidance of the Deputy Dean Elena Serak and the Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany Alla Pogotskaya visited one of the largest enterprises of pharmaceutical industry of Belarus “Belmedpreparaty”.

During the excursion they had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the history of the enterprise, to learn about the production processes, to see the modern equipment that allows to comply with international standards of quality and safety of products.

Within the framework of events dedicated to the anniversary of the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining of VSMU, academic mobility and the ongoing work to increase interdisciplinary interaction in the additional education of adults on the basis of the University on April 11, 2025, in a hybrid format held a national scientific-practical conference with international participation “Topical issues in the treatment of pain syndrome in medicine and sports. Prevention of sports traumatism”. The conference was organized by the Department of Medical Rehabilitation with the course of FAT and PR of VSMU and Vitebsk Regional Dispensary of Sports Medicine.

On April 12, 2025, in Vitebsk State Medical University within the framework of the Republican Saturday cleanup a large-scale work on the improvement of the territory adjacent to the University and student dormitories was held. The subbotnik became a part of numerous events of the Year of Improvement, aimed at creating a comfortable environment in every corner of our country.
