On March 20, 2025, the Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov held a meeting with the Director General of the Association of East European Universities (AEEU) Bogdan Voronovsky, during which the parties signed an agreement on VSMU joining the international organization. Also the guest was welcomed by the representatives of the Department of International and Interregional Relations Sharykhina Elena and Pchelintseva Anna and the Dean of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training Vyacheslav Pobiarzhin. An important outcome of the negotiations was also the agreement on joint work on attracting talented students from different countries of the world to study at VSMU.

Within the framework of the Republican holiday “Gomel - the Youth Capital of the Republic of Belarus - 2025” the III Republican Mentors Forum was held, where VSMU was presented by: Arsen Muzafeddinovich Talybov, the senior lecturer of the military department, the curator of the 2nd course of the stomatological faculty of the 9th study group (the project “Vitebsk - routes of military glory”); Victoria Vladimirovna Zaitseva, the associate professor of the department of normal physiology, curator of the 1st course of the pediatric faculty of the 2nd study group (“Family as a national priority”).

From March 24 to March 30, 2025, the University is holding “Zero Injury Week” on the theme: “Personal Caution: Can't We Just Try?”

Zero Injury Week is a new approach to organizing prevention that combines three areas - safety, occupational health and employee well-being at all levels of production.

On March 22, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted the Single Open Doors Day, which gathered more than 600 future applicants and their parents.

The event started with a virtual tour of the university, with a welcoming speech by the Rector Alexei Chukanov.

On March 20, 2025, the employees and students of Vitebsk State Medical University attended the excursion “Walk around the Palace”, organized with the support of trade union committees of the VSMU employees and students.
