On March 18-19, 2025, at the faculty of overseas student’s training of VSMU, the meetings of the students of the 1-3 courses with the representatives of law enforcement agencies were held. The events were organized in order to improve legal literacy of foreign students and to familiarize them with actual aspects of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

Within the framework of the meetings the key issues concerning the legal status of foreign citizens in Belarus were discussed.

The students were informed in detail about the rules of registration and paperwork, compliance with migration legislation, as well as responsibility for violations of the rules of stay.

The topic of safety in the digital space was covered, attention was paid to the prevention of cybercrime, protection of personal data and rules of safe use of the Internet.

Foreign students were informed about important aspects of countering drug trafficking and criminal liability for participation in drug trafficking, as well as about prevention measures and ways of protection against involvement in criminal activities.

The meetings were held in the format of an open dialog, where each student could ask questions and receive detailed answers from representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Such events held at the university are an important step in the adaptation of foreign students to life in Belarus and play a key role in forming a responsible attitude to compliance with the law and creating a safe environment for staying in our country.
