Sri Lanka Independence Day Celebration at GrSMU

On February 4, 2022, Sri Lanka celebrated its 75th Independence Day. A number of events dedicated to this event were organized at Grodno State Medical University. The celebration was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Yuryevich Ruzanov, the GrSMU administration, invited guests from other Belarusian medical universities, as well as representatives of compatriots. 15 students of the Sri Lankan community of VSMU also took part in this event.

Participation of Students from Sri Lanka in the Celebration of the Chinese New Year

On January 28 and 29, an event dedicated to the celebration of the Chinese New Year, organized by the Center for National Cultures, was held in the lobby of the Vitebsk Concert Hall.

During the grand opening of the celebration, there was an entertainment concert program, a food zone with real Chinese food, souvenirs, Chinese New Year calligraphy, and even a huge dragon!

Visit of a delegation from China

On January 20, 2023, a delegation from Shijiazhuang (an urban district in the Hebei province of China) visited Vitebsk State Medical University.

During the visit to the university, the director of the Shijiazhuang Medical College and the professor of the Dalian Medical University got acquainted with the work of the university, the conditions for admission and training of foreign citizens at VSMU, and got an idea about the faculties and chairs of the university. Members of the delegation left comments in the book of honored guests.

Christmas Concert for Students and Staff of VSMU

On December 21, 2022, there was a Christmas concert “Wonder of Christmas” at the Region Philharmonic Hall, which was organized for students and university staff. The Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra led by the conductor Vladimir Belyavsky and the soloists of the Philharmonic prepared a bright program dedicated to Christmas and the New Year. They performed works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Sergei Prokofiev, Alan Silvestri, John Williams, Henry Martin, Stevie Wonder and others. On the eve of the New Year holidays, the concert of the symphony orchestra was a real gift for everyone!
