The lobby of the assembly hall was quite noisy and overcrowded last Saturday, the spectators began to occupy their seats one and a half hour before the "Mr. VSMU 2016" competition starts to support their favorite participant. And the contest was deserved to be seen. The most talented, charming and charismatic 12 students of our university competed for the "Mr. VSMU 2016" title. Young people had to come up with a number of fashion shows, to answer the tricky questions of hosts and to demonstrate their artistic performances.

1st Forum of youth scientific communities was held on 2 November, 2016 in the walls of the Vitebsk State Medical University. This event brought together 76 young scientists, graduate students, specialists who work with young people, students and academic staff from 30 higher educational institutions and scientific organizations in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. This forum was organized by the Council of VSMU young scientists and Open University Skolkovo.

During the period from October 31 to November 1, 2016, a volleyball tournament among men’s and women’s teams of VSMU hostels was held in the small gym within the frameworks of the XX International Creativity Festival of medical students "VSMU-2016 Student autumn".

The meeting of exemplary students "Student Olympus - 2016" took place on the first day of the festival. The most diligent, inquisitive and industrious students of VSMU have gathered in the assembly hall of the main building. Perhaps at that time this place collected the highest density of intellect in our city. During the opening ceremony, the Rector of the university emphasized that the intellectual student elite of our university, our pride and hope had gathered in this hall. Of course, these words inspired the audience a lot.

Exhibition of students’ cooking arts opened on October 28 at the MEB student cafe. All our hostels presented their exquisite and original dishes as well as foreign communities of Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Ghana, Lebanon, Turkmenistan and India. This year the dishes have been presented by our cookery experts in "Cakes and sweets" section.
