The military-patriotic game complex "Patriot Games", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, was held on September 13-14, 2024 in Grodno. Teams from all medical universities of the country took part in the competition.

On September 16, 2024, the Republican dictation dedicated to the Day of National Unity was held. Students of Vitebsk State Medical University also took part in it.

The literacy test, which has already become a tradition, was held as part of the plan to hold the First-Year Student Month and the Patriotic Education Week.

On September 13-14, 2024, a cycling trip of the VSMU employees took place dedicated to several significant dates at once: the National Unity Day, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 90th anniversary of the university. The event was organized by the administration, the trade union committee of employees and the VSMU sports club.

Cyclists rode from Vitebsk to the village of Krupenino in the Beshenkovichi district and back, visiting military memorials and burial sites of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War along the way.

On September 13, 2024, as part of the plan of events for information and legal education of first-year students "Freshman's Month", a dialogue platform with the first-year students of the pediatric faculty was held with the participation of the dean of the pediatric faculty Ryabova T.M., the deputy head of the department for supervision of compliance with legislation in the troops of the prosecutor's office of the Vitebsk region, the senior adviser of justice Metelitsa I.V.

Igor Vladimirovich acquainted those present with the progress of the investigation of the criminal case on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.
