On December, 26, in VSMU the republican New Year charity action “From the heart” started, within the framework of which the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov together with the heads of university public organizations of veterans, the Belarusian Union of Women and trade union of employees congratulated veterans of VSMU with the New Year and Christmas. For these honored people a sweet table was set, financial certificates were handed over and student amateur art performances were presented.

Congratulations to veterans continue. The action “From the Heart” is aimed at uniting the older generation and the youth.

On December 26, 2024 in the hall of the main educational building of VSMU a New Year matinee for the children of the university employees was held. This event was organized by the University administration together with PO “Belarusian Union of Women” and trade union of VSMU employees.

The students also took part in the theatrical performance, having given the kids a part of warmth and kindness.

Sanitary education of the population is an integral part of the work of a dentist!

The students of the 5th year of the VSMU Dental Faculty under the guidance of Olga Aleksandrovna Zharkova, the Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, visited kindergarten No. 106 and held a lesson on oral health. Cognitive games and contests were organized for the children.

Future doctors helped the kids to understand the technique of brushing teeth and choosing the right diet. At the end of the class the kids watched the cartoon “Good Doctor Dentist” and asked the students questions.

Such interaction helps children not only to learn about dentistry, but also to prevent negative emotions associated with visiting the dentist.

Health lessons also help kids form the habit of taking care of their health from an early age.

What is it like, one day with the Rector of VSMU? The answer to this question is now known to the students of the Faculty of Medicine Artem Torop and Anna Vysotskaya.

On December 26, 2024 the guys got a unique opportunity to spend one day with the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov. During this day Artem and Anna learned about the tasks that are solved daily by the university administration, attended important meetings and discussed topical issues of student life and university development. The guys learned about the plans for the future, as well as how key decisions are made at our institution.

On December 26, 2024 the Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University Alexey Chukanov met with the participants of the X International Youth Medical Congress “St. Petersburg Scientific Readings - 2024” and the III International Online Olympiad “Private Histology”.
