What is it like, one day with the Rector of VSMU? The answer to this question is now known to the students of the Faculty of Medicine Artem Torop and Anna Vysotskaya.

On December 26, 2024 the guys got a unique opportunity to spend one day with the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov. During this day Artem and Anna learned about the tasks that are solved daily by the university administration, attended important meetings and discussed topical issues of student life and university development. The guys learned about the plans for the future, as well as how key decisions are made at our institution.

Anna Vysotskaya: “One Day with the Rector” turned out to be very productive and memorable. We learned a lot about the scope of our Rector's work, how responsible and important his job is. I would like to note that although Alexey Nikolaevich gives the impression of a strict and collected person, he reveals a different side in personal communication - he is very benevolent, open, ready to help and advise. During this day I managed to notice more than once: the problems of students' youth are of primary concern to our Rector. So you should not be afraid to address him with any questions. I will remember this day for a long time, because it was filled with only pleasant impressions and heartwarming atmosphere!”.

Artem Torop: “It was a great opportunity to communicate with the Rector in a relaxed, I would even say friendly, atmosphere. We observed the work of our university administration from the inside and learned a lot of interesting things. It is not so easy to be a Rector as it might seem from the outside! Alexey Nikolaevich has a lot of work, and it is quite diverse. And all of it is aimed at making sure that we, the students, do not need anything, have the opportunity to realize ourselves in study, science, creativity and sports”.
