Dialogue platform to discuss amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus

On January 6, 2022, in Vitebsk State Medical University, with participation of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Subbotin Alexander Mikhailovich, a dialogue platform to discuss amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus was held.

Participants and invitees were: Vladimir Petrovich Penin, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee; Vishnevetsky Mikhail Leontievich, head of the main health department of the Regional Executive Committee; Novitskaya Marina Vladimirovna, head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Regional Executive Committee; Plytkevich Vladimir Timofeevich, Chairman of Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers; Shchastny Anatoly Tadeushevich, rector of VSMU, doctor of medical sciences, professor, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; Dedinkin Alexander Leonidovich, director of the MITSO branch, candidate of historical sciences, master of law; Safonov Alexander Ilyich, Member of the Board of the CEE RGOO “Belarusian Society “Knowledge”, Master of Laws, Member of the Regional Bar Association, Senior Lecturer of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure of the Educational Establishment “Vitebsk State University named after V.I. P.M. Masherova"; chief doctors of health care institutions of the region, faculty of VSMU, media representatives.

A.M. Subbotin, A.T. Shchastny, A.L. Dedinkin and A.I. Safonov acted as speakers at the dialogue platform.

During the discussion of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the following issues were raised: increasing various social guarantees to citizens from the state, preserving in society the historical memory of most significant moments of its formation and development, civic and patriotic education of youth.

After the speeches, everyone had the opportunity to ask questions and make proposals for making amendments and additions to the draft Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.
