The Second International Dental Congress Dentsply Sirona World CIS

In September 21-23,2018, the Second International Dental Congress Dentsply Sirona World CIS was held in the Moscow International House of Music. This Congress united more than 1200 specialists of dental profile in all directions: prevention, restoration, endodontic treatment, implantology, including a separate unit for clinic effective management. During 3 days, world-known professionals presented clinical lectures and talked about current issues in modern dentistry - from preventive care to implant dentistry. Separate sessions were devoted to orthodontics, dental prosthetics and digitalized dentistry.

There were world-wide lecturers: Dr. André Reys (Brazil), Dr. Gaetano Paolone (Italy), Dr. Michael J. Shanamblo (USA), Dr. Filippo Santarcangielo (Italy) and others. The Congress also included master classes and an exhibition of integrated solutions in dentistry of Dentsply Sirona company in the field of CAD/CAM systems, x-ray complexes (CBCT tomography), dental treatment units, devices and tools. The congress gave an opportunity for doctors to exchange practical experience with colleagues from the CIS countries, Eastern Europe and other regions of the world with help of simultaneous interpretation and simultaneous online broadcast.

The head of the department of operative dentistry with course faculty of Advanced Training and retraining of VSMU associate professor Chernyavsky Yuri Pavlovich participated in the Congress as a guest specialist.

In September 21, 2018, Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University participated in work of the Second international Dental Congress. It happened with help of online broadcast from Moscow, organized by the administration of the University, Dean of the Stomatological faculty I.Yu. Karpuk and the department of distance learning ruled by G. G. Sinkov.

Together with professors of departments and students of Stomatological faculty the presentation of reports “The future of modern adhesive stomatology. Our days” (the lecturer Dr. André Reys - Brazil), "Secrets of composite restorations – and not only" (the lecturer Dr. Gaetano Paolone - Italy), "The choice of an algorithm of actions in difficult clinical cases and at repeated endodontal treatment" (the lecturer Dr. Michael J. Shanamblo - the USA) took place in a conference hall of VSMU.

Lectures and students of the Stomatological faculty, practical dentists. express their appreciate for the authorities of our University, in the person of Rector of VSMU, professor Anatoliy Tadeushevich Schastniy, and the authority of the company Dentsply Sirona for the opportunity to participate in this event and to learn the current world trends of treatment and diagnosis in the endodontic and medical treatment.

We hope for our further cooperation that will increase the rating of our University not only in the CIS countries but also at the international level, as well as improve the quality of educational process and motivate students to develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
