Work experience at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences

From 5 to 9 December 9, 2017, the Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics of the VSMU Zhuravlyova Lyudmila Nikolayevna undertook a work experience at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Kaunas, within the framework of the state program of social development for 2016-2020.

The main part of the work experience was held on the basis of the neonatal and children's clinic "Kauno klinikos". The neonatal clinic, which specializes in providing assistance to premature babies, born before 34 weeks of gestation, is equipped with the latest diagnostic and medical equipment, and has a bank of donor breast milk. Specialists of the high qualification work in the clinic. 

Due to their competence and highly qualified work, using the most modern methods of treatment, extremely premature babies are successfully nursed there, starting from the 22nd week of gestation with their birth weight less than 500 gr.

During the practical work, Ludmila N. Zhuravleva visited the Department of Pediatrics of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, where she got acquainted with the organization of the educational process and methods of discipline teaching, and also exchanged opinions with Lithuanian colleagues on possibilities of optimizing the educational and learning process.
