On 15 November 2017, the delegation of the Slovak Republic headed by the Minister of Health Tomas Drucker visited VSMU. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Belarus Josef Migash, Chairman of the Health Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Stefan Zelnik, Director General of the Pharmaceutical and Drug Policy Section of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic Matej Petrovich, Director of the State Bureau for Drug Control Zuzana Bitiova and other representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic were among the guests of our University.
During their visit to VSMU, the Slovak delegation became acquainted with the structure of our university, its material and technical facilities, visited the exhibition dedicated to the main achievements of the University in the field of science, educational activities, research developments to be introduced into the healthcare practice. The "Biolactam" and "D-lactam" test-systems, which are already widely used in practice by doctors of the Republic of Belarus, were shown to the delegates. Issues related to the development of test systems in diagnosing and monitoring of therapy for malignant tumors were also discussed.
During the visit to the VSMU, the Slovak delegation had an opportunity to get acquainted with the procedure of the educational process at the Department of Human Anatomy, as well as to attend the II Forum of Youth Scientific Societies where the Minister of Health of the Slovak Republic held an open dialogue with the young scientists of VSMU.
As a result of this visit, the honorable guests expressed the interest in implementation of joint scientific and educational projects, as well as activities for the development of further international cooperation.
