The team of VSMU employees became the prize-winner of the regional tournament on winter fishing among health care workers

The team of VSMU employees became the prize-winner of the regional tournament on winter fishing among health care workers.

Competitions were held on March 4, 2025, on the basis of tourist and recreation complex “Losvido”. The organizer of the event was the specialized trade union.

The tournament was attended by 20 teams consisting of more than 70 employees of health care institutions of the northern region. Among the participants there were both experienced fishermen and amateurs, including 10 female representatives of the health care sector.

The winners were determined in the categories “Best Catch by Weight” and “Largest Fish”, as well as the best team by total weight of the catch.

According to the results of the competition the team of Vitebsk State Medical University took the second place in the team championship.

In the individual championship among men in the nomination “The best catch by weight” the second place was taken by the employee of VSMU Andrey Golenkov.
