The department is a subdivision of the university, through which the planning, organization and control of the provision of treatment-and-prophylactic and pharmaceutical assistance to the population is carried out by the staff of clinical and pharmaceutical departments.

The main tasks of the Clinical and Pharmaceutical Department are:

   - planning, organizing and monitoring the provision of treatment-and-prophylactic and pharmaceutical assistance to the population, which is carried out by university employees;
   - the management of clinical departments for the provision of treatment-and-prophylactic and organizational-methodological assistance to the health and pharmacy institutions of the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions;
   - coordination of the work of the academic teaching staff of clinical departments of the University with the Health Department of the Vitebsk and Mogilev Regions for the provision of organizational, methodological and highly qualified medical care.
