From April 6 to April 8, 2022, with the participation of medical students from the Higher Educational Establishments of the Republic of Belarus there were swimming competitions which were held in Gomel. 

The VSMU team took the second place in the team calculation, having taken two 1st, six 2nd and three 3rd places in the individual championship, as well as 2nd place in the combined relay, and 3rd in the freestyle relay. 

The team included the following VSMU students: 

• Maria Kosenkova – a second-year student of the Pharmaceutical Faculty; 
• Ksenia Konkova (Mironenko) – a sixth-year student of the General Medicine Faculty; 
• Anastasia Shishlova – a first-year student of the Pediatric Faculty; 
• Maxim Shelkov – a second-year student of the Pharmaceutical Faculty;
• Igor Stepanov – a fourth-year student of the Pharmaceutical Faculty;
• Anastasia Appolonova – a second-year student of the Pharmaceutical Faculty; 
• Amanda Jayasekera – a fifth-year student of the Overseas Students Training Faculty; 
• Roman Khochenkov – a third-year student of the General Medicine Faculty; 
• Atanazar Bayramov – a fourth-year student of the Overseas Students Training Faculty; 
• Daniel Ivanov – a sixth-year student of the Overseas Students Training Faculty.
