On the threshold of the Cosmonautics Day the film studio “Belarusfilm” presented the documentary film “Our Space”.

The film “Our Space” is an exciting journey into the world of Belarusian cosmonautics: from dreams and first steps in the industry to modern achievements. It is a story about a dream that became a reality and about the future that we are creating today.

The VSMU delegation – the administration, the staff and students of the university - also took part in the premiere screening of the film, which took place on April 10, 2025, in the House of Cinema.

Attendance of the film show was held thanks to the support of the administration, the primary trade union organization of the employees and students of the university.

The audience learned about the heroes-cosmonauts who glorified the country in orbit: Peter Klimuk, Vladimir Kovalyonok, Oleg Novitsky and Marina Vasilevskaya, about the contribution of Belarusian scientists and engineers to the development of space technologies, as well as about the prospects for the industry in the future.

The Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work of VSMU Dmitry Kuzhel: “This movie is not just a story about space, but a real chronicle of national pride. It reminds us that even the boldest dreams are achievable if you go for them with perseverance and faith. For our students it is a great motivation to strive for high goals - not only in studies, but also in life”.

Alexander Myasoedov, the Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the VSMU employees, noted: “The movie ‘Our Space’ not only reminds us of past achievements, but also inspires us for new ones. It is wonderful that our students and staff were able to join this important cultural event”
