VSMU strengthens international cooperation: videoconference with Kazakh-Russian Medical University

Kazakh Russian 02Vitebsk State Medical University continues to expand the boundaries of international partnership. On March 31, 2025, a videoconference was held with the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, during which the parties reached an important agreement on the organization of academic student mobility. This event will mark a new stage in the development of educational and scientific cooperation between the two universities.

The negotiations were conducted by Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, and Anna Pchelintseva, the Head of the International Relations Department. The main topic of discussion was the development of mechanisms for the implementation of student exchange programs and joint educational initiatives.

As part of the agreements reached, the students of both universities will be able to undergo modular training, participate in scientific research and clinical practices at the partner university.

This initiative will not only strengthen ties between VSMU and the Kazakh-Russian Medical University, but will also contribute to the development of a unified educational space in the CIS countries. Academic mobility, as an integration tool, will allow students to get acquainted with the peculiarities of healthcare in different countries, expand professional horizons and establish international contacts.
