On March 29, 2025, the primary trade union organizations of the VSMU employees and students organized a tourist and sightseeing trip around Mogilev, including visits to key attractions of the city and its surroundings.
The tourist program began with the Museum of history in the City Hall, the symbol of the free city. Here the participants got acquainted with the exposition covering the period from the tenth to the beginning of the twentieth century, learned about the medieval culture, way of life and traditions of Mogilev.
Then there was a sightseeing tour of the historical center. The guests walked along an ancient pedestrian street, visited the Square of Stars near the monument "Zvezdochet", saw architectural monuments of the XVIII–XIX centuries, temples and the oldest drama theater of Belarus.
A visit to the St. Nicholas Convent and the Buinichi Field memorial complex, dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, left a special impression.
After learning about the story, the participants went to the zoo, where they were able to observe bison, deer, bears and other animals. The program ended with a visit to the ethno-village, a stylized complex reflecting the traditions of the Belarusian way of life of the 19th century.
The tour gave the participants vivid impressions and allowed them to learn more about the rich historical and cultural heritage of Mogilev.
