On March 14, 2025, on the threshold of one of the main state holidays of our country, a solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus was held at Vitebsk State Medical University. This event became a symbol of unity and respect for the basic law of our country, which defines the values and the way of development of the Belarusian people.

The event was attended by Vladimir Plytkevich, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Care Workers, the representatives of the administration of VSMU, the employees and students of the university.

The honorable right to raise the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus was given to the Lieutenant Colonel of Medical Service, Senior Lecturer of the Military Department Arseny Tsygankov, as well as to the students of the university: Pyotr Bliznev and Pavel Pashkevich (4th year), Arina Zhukova (3rd year) and Asani Kwesi Nathan (6th year).

The Vice-rector for ideological and educational work Dmitry Kuzhel addressed the audience with warm words of congratulations. He emphasized the importance of the Constitution as the basis of stability and prosperity of our country, and expressed confidence that the young generation, brought up on the principles of respect for the law and patriotism, would worthily continue the glorious traditions of Belarus.

The event ended with a bright musical composition performed by the pop song studio of VSMU, which gave everyone present a charge of positivity and inspiration.

For each of those present the event became a reminder that the Constitution is the basis of our life, a guarantee of rights and freedoms of each citizen.
