On February 24, 2025, an online meeting of student scientific circles of the Department of Pediatric Diseases of Samara State Medical University and the Department of Pediatrics №2 with a course of FAT and PR of Vitebsk State Medical University took place.

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement the students of Samara State Medical University, students of medical and pediatric faculties of VSMU took part in the work of SSS.

The joint meeting was devoted to topical issues of neontology. The agenda included reports of VSMU students on the topic:

“A case of toxoplasmosis in a newborn baby” - (Svirido Y.V., 5th year medical faculty);

“Influence of physical exercises and neurological massage on rehabilitation of children with cervical tonic reflexes” Selezneva M.A., 3rd year pediatric faculty).

From the side of SamSMU with the report on “Peculiarities of neonatal adaptation of newborns from mothers with diabetes mellitus” were made by the 5th year students of the Institute of Clinical Medicine Dorozhkina D.D., Zhilkina M.P..

The moderator from the side of VSMU were the Dean of pediatric faculty Ryabova T.M., the Head of department Zhuravleva L.N. and the associate professor Barkun G.K., from the side of SamSMU – the assistant professors of pediatric diseases department Tyazheva A.A. and Koltsova N.S..

In the course of the discussion the modern views on the topical issues of diagnostics and therapy of diseases in the neonatal period were highlighted. This topic aroused keen interest among the participants of the joint session, the students actively participated in the discussion.
