On February 19, 2025 the meeting of the University Council was held.

The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Economy, Budget and Finance Irina Petrovna Levkovich, who presented the Certificate of Honor of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for the great contribution to the implementation of social policy of the Republic of Belarus to the Vice-Rector for Academic Work Natalya Yuryevna Konevalova.

The Rector Alexei Chukanov presented awards to the university staff:

the Head of the Department of Pathological Physiology Belyaeva Lyudmila Yevgenievna was awarded with the badge “Excellent Educator”;

Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Health – the Professor of the Department of Pediatrics №2 with a course of FAT and PR Potapova Vera Evgenievna;

Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Education – the Head of the Department of Public Health and Public Health with a course of FAT and PR Glushenko Vasily Semenovich and Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Microbiology Akulich Vitaly Konstantinovich.

At the meeting of the University Council the results of implementation of the Action Plan on elimination of remarks and realization of proposals on the results of monitoring of the University activity efficiency were considered; candidates of students for appointment of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus were proposed; the decision on appointment of personal and personal scholarships to students for the spring semester of 2024/2025 academic year and awarding the honorary title “Veteran of Labor of VSMU” to the employees of the University was made.
