On February 4, 2025, a video conference between VSMU and the university from Indonesia - Universitas Andalas was held.

The representatives of the Indonesian University were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Lits Denis. Also in the negotiations took part the Head of the International and Interregional Relations Office Sharykhina Elena and the Head of International Relations Department Pchelintseva Anna.

During the meeting the presentation about the educational and scientific potential of VSMU was made. The Rector of Andalas University Dr. Muhammad Makki told about the directions of the work of the university, outlined the main ways of cooperation development, expressed great interest in cooperation with our university.  An agreement on cooperation and organization of mutual participation of the universities in short-term and long-term mobility programs for teachers and students, creation of joint research projects and joint educational programs was agreed.
