Within the framework of charity actions “Always Saving Good” and “Our Children” the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University visited Vitebsk Regional Specialized Orphanage.

The Rector of VSMU Aleksey Chukanov and the Vice-rector for ideological and educational work Dmitry Kuzhel handed over to the Head doctor of the institution Elena Mizerkina a certificate in the amount of 5000 rubles and hygiene products necessary for the little children.

The funds collected with the active participation of the VSMU staff will be used to improve the material and technical base of the Vitebsk Regional Specialized Orphanage.

Alexey Chukanov emphasized the importance of social partnership between educational institutions and health care institutions, noting that such initiatives contribute not only to the improvement of material and technical base of institutions, but also to the formation of values of kindness and compassion among students.

Every year the cooperation between VSMU and Vitebsk regional orphanage becomes closer and closer. The students and teachers of the university actively participate in various charitable events, which allows to give care and attention to the kids and inspire others to do good deeds.
