On December 15, 2024, the primary trade union organizations of VSMU employees and students organized a fascinating tourist and excursion trip.
Participants of the trip visited the monument to Lev Sapieha. The monument, opened on September 11, 2010, was created on the initiative of the priest Andrei Aniskevich and made by the sculptor Lev Oganov. The perpetuation of the memory of this political figure, who played a crucial role in the history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, is due to the fact that under his rule the main city buildings of Lepel were moved to a new location, which became an important stage in the life of the city and determined its further successful development.
Then the excursionists went to the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve. There they visited the Nature Museum, where the variety of exhibits introduced them to the amazing world of animals of the only biosphere reserve in Belarus.
An animation and entertainment program was held near the Christmas tree. Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden together with the Unusual Bolotnik and other inhabitants of the protected areas helped to get into the spirit of the holiday and plunge into the atmosphere of a New Year's fairy tale. An exciting program with fun games, competitions, songs and round dances, New Year's miracles and transformations, as well as gifts from Grandfather Frost left no one indifferent. The trip was an excellent opportunity for the students and staff of VSMU not only to relax, but also to learn a lot about the cultural and natural heritage of Belarus. The staff and students of VSMU thanked their primary organizations for the well-organized route and the opportunity to spend time interestingly and usefully.
