November 21, 2024, on the basis of simulation and certification center VSMU passed the Republican Olympiad «Emergency medical care» using simulation technologies of education among educational institutions implementing educational programs in the field of education «Health».

The Olympics tasks included performing not isolated practical skills, but full action when providing emergency medical care as an ambulance brigade or duty shift of a district hospital in the framework of a complete simulation (as close to real) clinical situation. The work of an individual medical worker was evaluated, but a whole team (in reality, medical care is always a team work).

It is an integrated olympiad of medical university students and medical college students, which is held by participating in a competition of integrated teams consisting of 6 people: 2 doctors and 4 nurses. The medical university is represented by one team of two doctors. The Medical College is represented by one team of 4 nurses. The integration of doctors (teams from the university) and nurses (teams from the college) into a single team is carried out by drawing lots.

It should be noted that this type of Olympics is held for the first time not only in the Republic of Belarus, but also in the Russian Federation.

The following places were allocated as a result of a hard struggle:

in the nomination "Actions of doctor (doctors)

1st place was taken by VSMU; 2nd place is taken by GrSMU, BSMU; 3rd place is taken by GomSMU;

in the nomination "Action of nurses"

1st place was taken by VSMC; 2nd place - PSMC, OSMC; 3rd place - MogSMC;

in the category "Teamwork"

The 1st place was taken by VSMU and VSMC, BSMU and PSMC; 2nd place was taken by GrSMU and OSMC; 3rd place was taken by GomSMU and MogSMC.
