On November 19, 2024, online negotiations were held between VSMU and the North-West State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov on cooperation issues.

During the negotiations, chaired by the Vice-Rector for International Relations , Organizational and Legal Work, Denis Lits and with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ivan Karpuk, the Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Anzhelika Gaidukova, the Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations, Elena Sharykhina, the Head of the Department of International Relations, Anna Pchelintseva, the issues of organizing short-term academic mobility programs, internships, and creating a joint elective course in dentistry were discussed. An agreement was reached on the introduction of an elective course "Current Issues of Dentistry" for the students of the dental faculties of VSMU and the Russian partner university.
