On November 19, 2024, the representatives of VSMU, chaired by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits, held online talks with the leadership of the Shandong Higher University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (People's Republic of China), which houses the faculties for training specialists in the fields of pharmacy, nursing, rehabilitation, and traditional Chinese medicine. Denis Lits gave a presentation about VSMU and told the representative of the Chinese institute about the university's capabilities.

The Chinese colleagues noted the high status of VSMU in the field of training medical specialists for foreign countries and expressed hope for the possibility of implementing joint scientific and educational projects. During the negotiations, issues of organizing academic exchanges of teachers and students, creating joint educational programs in the field of pharmacy were discussed. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to sign a cooperation agreement for the implementation of the agreed projects in the future.
