On November 14, 2024, VSMU hosted a dialogue platform on the topic of "Civic-patriotic and spiritual-moral education of youth in cooperation with the Belarusian Orthodox Church at VSMU." The dialogue platform was attended by the Vice-rector for ideological and educational work, chairman of the public organization "Belaya Rus" Dmitry Kuzhel, the representatives of the public organization "Belaya Rus", the Head of the Diaconal Center of the Vitebsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church Inna Kostyukovich, the teacher-organizer Sergei Nazarev, deputy deans for ideological and educational work, and university students.

The conversation helped to understand the role of the Orthodox Church in the formation of spiritual, cultural, historical and state traditions of the Belarusian people. Family and patriotic education of the younger generation, the formation of a civic position, a culture of national and patriotic feelings are the common task of the family, society, church and state. Only the consolidation of all interested parties can lead to the formation of a true patriot who will be aware of his involvement in the fate of the Fatherland.
