On November 1, 2024, the Plenary Session of the Republican scientific and practical conference with international participation "Medical education of the 21st century" was held, where its results were summed up. As part of the sectional sessions, 50 reports were given, in which the conference participants highlighted current issues of continuous medical and pharmaceutical education. 4 round tables and 4 master classes were held.

In addition to VSMU, educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus (Belarusian, Grodno State Medical Universities, Minsk City Institute for Education Development) and neighboring countries (Smolensk, Kirov, Kazan, North-West State Medical Universities, Izhevsk State Medical Academy, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute) were represented. The conference was held in a mixed format. Based on the results, a collection of conference materials was prepared, which includes more than 200 works. The collection is posted in the VSMU repository.

At the Plenary Session, the Rector of the University, Alexey Nikolaevich Chukanov, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. The authors of the best reports were awarded and it was noted that the work of the conference fully reflected the achievements of VSMU in the field of modern medical and pharmaceutical education, and provided the participants with the opportunity to exchange experiences in the application of innovative teaching and training technologies in the educational process.
