Presentation of the collection "Once again our lyre sounded...", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of VSMU

lira zazvuchala 01On October 30, 2024, the presentation of the 3rd issue of the collection of poetry and prose works of students, employees, graduates, veterans of the university "Once again our lyre sounded...", dedicated to the 90th anniversary of VSMU, took place. The compilers and editors of this collection were the head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language I.A. Floryanu and senior lecturer G.N. Floryanu.

The Rector of the University A.N. Chukanov, the Vice-rector for security, regime and personnel N.B. Dorofeev, the Vice-rector for international relations, organizational and legal work D.N. Lits addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, noting the great importance of the release of this collection for the education of youth, the development of spiritual qualities and the ability to perceive the world through the prism of patriotism and humanity.

The collection includes 94 works by 32 authors, including 14 students from all faculties, including the Faculty of Political Science; 10 teachers, 2 employees, 4 veterans of VSMU, 2 graduates of the university. It is illustrated with 24 beautiful drawings by our student artists: Anna Komarova, Alina Khalimonchik, Ekaterina Dubkevich, Alina Yashkina, Elizaveta Danilenko.

VSMU students heartfeltly recited poems about our Motherland, about the historical memory of generations, about the university, about the beautiful Belarusian nature, about love and friendship, about the meaning of life.

Those present were not left indifferent by the reading of poems by foreign students, who demonstrated their love for the Russian language.

As part of the presentation, an award ceremony was held for foreign students who participated in the IV International Recitation Competition "Poetry of the Heart". Here are their names: Amarasinghe Arachchige Sanuvi Winara, Mohamed Nistar Shima Farvin, Sanjana Lakdu Natavitarana, Nevaan Jayewardene, Fatima Shazrina Shiraz, Faus Fatima Sharani Shat.

The daughter of a VSMU veteran, poet, author and compiler of two previous collections of poems Lev Matveevich Titov was present at the celebration, she read her father's poems dedicated to the Great Victory.

All authors and artists received author's copies of the collection "Again our lyre sounded ...".
