The Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases with the FAT and PR course, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences Valery Mikhailovich Semenov gave a lecture to the 6th-year students of the Faculty of Medicine on October 23, 2024,  on the topic "Molecular genetic methods in optimizing antibacterial therapy".

The lecture covered issues of rational prescription of antibacterial therapy taking into account the methods of molecular genetic typing.

The developments of the Department of Infectious Diseases were also presented, such as the Biolactam test system, which has no analogues, the Multibak test system, and the D-lactam test system.
