On October 17, 2024, VSMU hosted the opening of a photo exhibition dedicated to the Week of Parental Love and the innovative educational project "Youth of VSMU for Family Values. Large Families are the National Wealth of Belarus". The project "Youth of VSMU for Family Values!" has been implemented at the university since 2021 as part of the trilateral cooperation of VSMU, the Vitebsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Pokrov Charitable Foundation for the Support of Family, Motherhood and Childhood. The project team members are university students.

The project is aimed at increasing the prestige of the family, forming and strengthening traditional family values ​​among students, focused on a strong large family, including the potential of young people in solving socially significant problems of modern society, forming an active civic and life position of students. As part of the project, VSMU organizes and holds monthly "round tables", interactive educational events, charity events, open dialogues with the participation of the university management, staff and students, representatives of the Belarusian Orthodox Church and public organizations, meetings with parents with many children. Information exhibitions, photo exhibitions and exhibitions of creative works of students are organized, dedicated to Mother's Day and Father's Day as part of the Week of Parental Love, Orthodox Youth Day, Family Day.

Every year VSMU students take part in the Republican competition of social youth projects "Youth of Belarus for Life, Morality and Family Values". Participants provide reports on the events held, post information on the websites and social networks of the university and the organizers. Based on the results of the Republican competition in 2024, the project "Youth of VSMU for Family Values!" was awarded a Certificate of Gratitude from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Family, Motherhood and Childhood "Pokrov". During the event, the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Dmitry Konstantinovich Kuzhel presented Certificates of Gratitude to the students participating in the innovative educational project "Youth of VSMU for Family Values!"
