On October 14, 2024, a delegation of heads and specialists of medical institutions of the Volgograd Region, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Healthcare Committee of the Volgograd Region, Victoria Evgenievna Troneva, visited VSMU on a business visit. The delegation was welcomed by the Rector of the University Alexey Nikolaevich Chukanov and the representatives of the University and the VSMU Clinic.

Guests from Volgograd were given a presentation on the educational and scientific activities of the university, on the work of the VSMU Clinic. Negotiations on cooperation were held, including on increasing the export of medical services. The issues of interaction in the field of practical health care, training of specialists and clinical residents were discussed. Ways of exchanging experience in organizing medical care and developing medical technologies were outlined.

As the Deputy Chairperson of the Volgograd Region Health Committee Victoria Troneva noted: “Volgograd Medical University has long and fruitfully cooperated with VSMU both in terms of student exchange and in organizing joint educational events for both students and practicing doctors, including in an online format. We have every opportunity to continue and develop this fruitful cooperation.”
