On September 13-14, 2024, a cycling trip of the VSMU employees took place dedicated to several significant dates at once: the National Unity Day, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 90th anniversary of the university. The event was organized by the administration, the trade union committee of employees and the VSMU sports club.

Cyclists rode from Vitebsk to the village of Krupenino in the Beshenkovichi district and back, visiting military memorials and burial sites of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War along the way.
