On the eve of National Unity Day, the Belarusfilm studio presented a new project – the film “Cultural Code” by Kirill Khaletsky.
A delegation from VSMU, headed by rector Alexey Chukanov, also took part in the premiere of the film, which took place on September 5 at the Cinema House. The visit to the film by VSMU employees took place thanks to the support of the administration and the primary trade union organization of the university staff.
The short film "Cultural Code" is a gripping fiction story that combines the techniques of feature and documentary filmmaking.
In the film, both experts and ordinary citizens discuss what the state symbols of our country mean to young Belarusians, what real patriots are like, and why young people choose Belarus to live in.
Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work of VSMU Dmitry Kuzhel notes: “The film “Cultural Code” will be interesting not only for the younger generation, but also for all citizens of the country. The film very clearly and vividly reveals the meaning of our state symbols. Through them, we, Belarusians, feel our unity.”
Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of VSMU Staff Alexander Myasoedov: “The film “Cultural Code” is truly a film that should have appeared in the Republic of Belarus a long time ago, since at the present stage young people should know more about the state symbols of their country. I am sure that after watching the film, every viewer will think about what state symbols and the concept of “Motherland” mean to them personally.”
